National Cemetery will hold No Veteran Forgotten ceremony July 28

Cape Cod Times - 7/21/2021

Jul. 21—BOURNE — A ceremony honoring military veterans who were buried without military honors will be held July 28 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.

The No Veteran Forgotten ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. Names of approximately 45 service members will be read aloud, according to Administrative Officer Barbara Cellucci.

These veterans may have died in another part of the country, may not have had family members at their services, or could have been buried during COVID-19 when families weren't allowed to accompany their loved ones to their graves.

"They may have had honors, but they didn't have them here," Cellucci said. "We make sure they have the recognition they deserve."

The public is welcome to attend the ceremony, scheduled to be held at Committal Shelter 3.
