Death benefit paperwork assistance

My father, a 94 yr old WWII veteran, died Dec. 27th. I'm trying to get the necessary forms filled out to get my mother, also 94 yrs old, whatever benefits she's entitled to. If anyone is familiar with which forms are required and how to properly fill them out, I could really use some help. My name is Jack Wright and I live in Hemet. Thank you.
