Highway 80 overpass decorated to support veterans on cross-country trip

On Wednesday, May 17 at 8 a.m. the National Veterans' Awareness Ride (NVAR) will start in Auburn with an escorted parade through historic Downtown Auburn, onto Highway 80 eastbound, through Bowman School parking lot, back onto Highway 80 toward Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. before Memorial Weekend, becoming part of Rolling Thunder, paying tribute to fallen heroes and healing our defenders.

Along the two-week trip, National Veterans' Awareness Ride riders and support vehicles will visit schools, veterans' homes and hospitals and lay wreaths at Veterans' Cemeteries. All are volunteers; there is no paid staff or organizers.

The Dry Creek overpass is being decorated by CMA Faithful Warriors of Auburn and the Colfax Highway 174 overpass by VFW Auxiliary.
